BAMF is always held in last weekend in March with the exception of when Easter is the last weekend in March.

In the heart of the Southern Highlands, the Bowral Autumn Music Festival has established itself as one of the highlights of the year.

 In 2017, our Artistic Director, Myee Clohessy, invited an exceptional line up of performers who offering something for chamber music lovers of all tastes. Glorious music by Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Brahms delighted along with beautiful new works by Australian composers Ross Edwards, Sally Whitwell, Ann Carr- Boyd, Dan Walker, Percy Grainger and Nicholas Vines.


The acclaimed Acacia Quartet was at the core of the Festival and was joined by eight world-class performers including clarinetist David Griffiths (from Ensemble Liaison, Australia Ensemble), pianist Phillip Shovk (prize winner at the Sydney International Piano Competition, Tchaikovsky Competition), soprano Jane Sheldon (soloist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Sydney Chamber Opera), mezzo-soprano Anna Fraser (The Song Company, Pinchgut Opera), tenor Andrew Goodwin (La Scala Milan, Bolshoi Opera), baritone David Greco (Opera Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival Opera), pianist Siro Battaglin (repetiteur with Opera Australia), and Robert Ampt (Sydney Town Hall organist).


Audiences were treated to an exhilarating concert especially for families by the award-winning percussion group Taikoz and two new Rising Stars concerts featured the exceptional young Australian talents of violinist Cedar-Rose Newman (currently studying in Cincinnati, USA), pianist Joshua Han (recent prize winner of the Aarhus International Piano Competition in Denmark), organist Peter Taurian (prize winner of the Sydney Organ Competition) and trombonist Kye Milne (soloist at the Sydney Opera House) who performed in two Rising Star concerts.
