Sally Walker - flute

Known for her impeccable technical skill, musicality and versatility, Australian flautist Sally Walker is one of Australia's most esteemed musicians. She performs on modern flutes and piccolo as well as historical flutes and recorders and has performed across the globe. 

Sally has toured and recorded with the Berlin Philharmonic and Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestras and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, been a former Principal Flute of the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, member of Kölner Kammerorchester and Guest Principal Flute with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and NDR Radio Philharmonie Hannover. 

 

Featuring on several recordings, and nominated three times for an APRA/AMCOS Award for both Arts Excellence and Outstanding Contribution, Sally holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Sydney University, and is Lecturer in Classical Performance (Woodwind) at the Australian National University School of Music.

Vivian Choi Milton - piano

Celebrated Australian pianist Vivian Choi Milton has captivated audiences around the world touring throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North America and Asia. An avid chamber musician, she has performed as a guest artist with the Boston Symphony Chamber Players at Tanglewood, at the Rockport Chamber Music Festival in the US, and the Muziekgebouw and the Korzo in the Netherlands. She is resident pianist with the Chameleon Arts Ensemble of Boston and a member of Herz Ensemble Amsterdam. In 2020 she was nominated as a finalist for the APRA AMCOS Art Music Award’s Work of the Year for her world premiere performance of Kate Moore’s Piano Concerto ‘‘Beatrice”. 

Vivian recently recorded two acclaimed albums with the Boston Modern Orchestra Projecton the BMOP/Sound label, with Harold Shapero’s Partita in C for Piano and Orchestra selected as one of the best recordings of 2020 by The Arts Fuse, Sequenza21, and ClassicsToday. 

Returning to Australia in 2021 after years based in the USA, Vivian recently performed Rachmaninov's second piano concerto as soloist with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, and for Sydney Mozart Society with SSO Principal players and Ola Rudner.
