About Us
The Bowral Autumn Music Festival commenced in 2007 with a series of five chamber concerts in St Jude’s Church featuring the music of Beethoven. This music was performed by some of Australia’s leading performers and set a standard second to none. The 2008 Festival featured the music of Schubert and introduced an additional concert in the Mittagong Playhouse on the Saturday Morning and a Festival Chorus was formed to sing a Schubert ‘Mass’ at the Festival service in St Jude’s Church. The 2009 Festival featured the music of Brahms and Mendelssohn and the 2010 Festival featured chamber music by Russian Composers.

The Bowral Autumn Music Festival is rapidly gaining a
reputation as one of Australia’s leading Music Festivals. In
addition to the fine music presented by leading artists there is a
Festival Club offering hospitality at most of the concerts. The
Festival is generally planned for the last weekend in March
(depending upon Easter) when Bowral and the Southern Highlands of
NSW are at their most spectacular with the exotic trees in full
autumnal colour. For classical music lovers, this is a Festival not
to miss.
